Terms of Service

Short version: Use AddLevel to improve yourself. Don't abuse the platform. Paid features use Apple/Google billing — no card data ever touches our servers. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using AddLevel ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use AddLevel. By using the App, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You may not share your account with others or use another person's account.
You must provide accurate information during registration.
Username must comply with community standards — no impersonation, no offensive content.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App to harass, threaten, or harm other users
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
Circumvent any security or access control mechanism
Use automated tools to scrape or access the App at scale
Use the AI coach to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse free tiers

5. In-app purchases

Paid subscriptions (Core, Builder) are processed exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play.
We never handle, store, or see your payment card data — all billing is managed by Apple or Google.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Refund requests must be submitted through Apple or Google — we cannot issue refunds directly.
No pay-to-win: Paid plans unlock features, not an advantage. Coins and XP cannot be purchased to bypass quests or avoid decay.

6. AI coach

The AI coach is an assistive tool, not a licensed medical, financial, or psychological professional.
Do not rely solely on AI-generated advice for critical life decisions.
Messages you send to the AI coach are forwarded to Anthropic's API. Do not include sensitive information you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.

7. User content

Content you create in AddLevel (notes, goals, quest completions) belongs to you. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the service.

Public profile content (room, username, shared stats) is visible to other users and the public. You are responsible for what you choose to make public.

8. Intellectual property

The AddLevel name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by copyright. You may not use our branding without written permission.

9. Service availability

We do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. During the beta period, the App is provided "as is" with no uptime guarantees.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the UAE (United Arab Emirates), where the developer is registered. Disputes shall be resolved in competent courts in that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via in-app message or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
